You’ve heard about books being made into movies but rarely have books been turned into TV shows until recently. If there is http://www.DirectTelevisionPackages.com in your area or if you spend a lot of time online, you might have heard about a few of these programs.

One in particular that comes to mind is Under the Dome. Based on the sci-fi novel by Stephen King, Under the Dome is about a small rural community that becomes inexplicably trapped beneath an impenetrable, see-through dome of energy. As numerous attempts to escape prove useless, the people of this once civil community sink deeper and deeper into desperation.

Another book being turned into a show is Wayward Pines. Starring Kiefer Sutherland of 24 fame, Wayward Pines is a modern-day Twin Peaks. It involves a secret service agent who becomes trapped in a small mountain community after a car accident. No one believes he is who he says he is, he can’t seem to make a phone call out of the area and there is a strange fence keeping something sinister out.

And, of course, there was Flash Forward which was also based on a book and even House of Cards was a novel.
